One of his patrons was an engineer who provided information on the Tower's mag-lev elevator, allowing the Wreckers to access it underground. Maccadam still shared the occasional oil with his Decepticon overlords, gathering intelligence. Inside Iacon's walls, Wheeljack and the Wreckers came to Maccadam's Old Oil House, who was secretly working with the Autobot resistance. Wheeljack was uncomfortable working alongside Jetfire, a former Decepticon who was still untrustworthy in his eyes. They were provided support by the recently reactivated Omega Supreme, who would act as a suitable.distraction for their op. Wheeljack joined Magnus's team of Wreckers to infiltrate Iacon, access the Tower of Shockwave, and retrieve Alpha Trion. With Alpha Trion's neutrality no longer permitted, Ultra Magnus planned a rescue op. Shockwave finally made his move against Alpha Trion, arresting the sage from the Hall of Records. Eventually, the Autobot called Chaindrive was sent, equipped with a device to track the Matrix of Leadership, a piece of the Blades of Time, and a warning for Optimus regarding the Requiem Blaster. Wheeljack suggested they send a message of some sort through the gateway to Optimus Prime, but Alpha Trion advocated sending an actual bot. The project proceeded, and the inventor was able to find a way of opening a brief passageway through space-time, utilizing the remaining energies of the Well of All Sparks and the damaged consciousness of Vector Sigma. Wheeljack proceeded to equip the resistance with new gadgets and weaponry, but his true loyalty remained to science, rather than the Autobots.Įventually, Wheeljack, along with Ultra Magnus and Springer approached Alpha Trion to propose re-creating space bridge technology on a personal scale, and using the energies from the space bridge explosion to trace the locations of the vanished Ark and Nemesis. They took him in, with Alpha Trion theorizing that he had escaped from Shockwave's facilities there. After the Great Exodus, the Autobots remaining on Cybertron encountered the inventor and engineer wandering outside Crystal City. Wheeljack was a member of the Wreckers black ops. Many of the Wreckers, including Wheeljack, remained behind on Cybertron as the Autobot resistance to the Decepticons after the Ark and Nemesis blasted off in search of the AllSpark. The Wreckers later joined the popular uprising against the Quintessons and became official peace officers during the Golden Age. During the Age of Wrath, the Wreckers refused to serve as legitimate law enforcers under the Quintesson regime, preferring to act as lawless vigilantes under their own terms. Wheeljack presumably remained a member of the Wreckers as Cybertronian society developed. Wheeljack, his buddy Bulkhead, and several others organized themselves as the Wreckers, freelance peacekeeping agents helping to protect the peaceful settlements from bandits, gangs, and other marauders. As civilization began to rise on Cybertron, many pockets of settlement were less developed or protected than others. Wheeljack emerged from the Well of All Sparks sometime during or before the Age of Origins. 1.8 Transformers: The Ultimate Pop-Up Universe.
